- Inform all faith groups of any relevant information which may protect life or property.
- Share information with Nottinghamshire Police, which may be of use in the prevention and detection of crime or the protection of life and property.
- Nottinghamshire Police and Faith Groups will communicate regularly with the aim of increasing reassurance and awareness between all Faith Groups and of improving understanding between all members.
Our Achievements
The group has contributed to a number of policing initiatives and practices in support of its aims, including:
- Improved links between local police officers and faith groups.
- Increased reporting of hate incidents following posters being displayed at places of worship.
- Reassurance messages and patrols from police to faith groups following serious incidents.
- Faith group contact details provided to police custody suites in cases of emergency e.g. depressed prisoner wishing to speak to faith leader.
