Paul Broadbent

Paul BroadbentMr Broadbent joined Nottinghamshire Police as Assistant Chief Constable in June 2010.

He had previously spent the majority of his service with South Yorkshire where he rose to the rank of Chief Superintendent and was the policing commander for Sheffield.

He also spent a period as Temporary Assistant Chief Constable and oversaw South Yorkshire Police’s best crime reduction and detection performance figures for decades.

He is the National ACPO lead for burglary which involves overseeing and coordinating activity to reduce burglary throughout England and Wales.

He is also the East Midlands regional lead for immigration crime, and the senior officer for the East Midlands on Serious and Organised Crime.

ACC Broadbent's responsibilities include Crime Performance Criminal Justice and Operational; Support including firearms public order dogs and horses.

As well as holding a Master of Science degree, Mr Broadbent is a graduate of the FBI Academy in Quantico Virginia and has researched multiple homicide enquiries and gang related criminality across the USA.
