Simon's role
Simon ensures the Force operates within effective financial management and policy frameworks and provides timely and effective performance information internally and externally to support effective decision making.
Duties and responsibilities
Simon oversees a number of teams which play a crucial role in how the organisation operates.
The Finance Team is responsible for paying police staff, police officers and suppliers, preparing statutory accounts and detailed financial planning.
The Performance and Insight team provides information and analysis to support operational and strategic needs. Developing this effective insight into the drivers of performance and combining this with finance information is allowing us to develop effective decision making across the Force.
The Policy and the Information Management teams maintain and update the internal frameworks that allow the Force to provide a service with good integrity at the heart of what it does. The team carries out Market Research and Project-based research. We are developing a Programme Office that will ensure good governance in projects the Force undertakes.
