Fly tipping is the illegal dumping of waste. Often, this will involve dumping large items that are dumped instead of being legally disposed of at a household waste and recycling centre or commercial site.

All incidents of fly tipping in a public place should be reported to your local borough or district council using the contact details provided on this page.

Report large scale flytipping

To report more organised large-scale fly tipping, such as lorries dumping large amounts of waste, please contact:

  • The Environment Agency incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60, available 24 hours a day.
