Man arrested for robbery in Wood Street, Mansfield

A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Wood Street, Mansfield.
The 21-year-old Mansfield man is currently in custody and is being interviewed by detectives.
The incident happened at 6am on Wednesday (21 December) when a man, who was pushing his motorbike due to a puncture, was approached by two men who assaulted him and took his work bag.
The men made off through the grounds of the nearby Beacon Project, also in Wood Street, where they discarded personal items from the victim’s bag. These items have been recovered by police.
The victim was taken to Kings Mill Hospital with facial injuries and has now been released.
Wood Street was closed following the incident while police enquiries were carried out.

Police are investigating a robbery on Wood Street in Mansfield in which a motorcyclist on his way to work was assaulted.
