Police hunt man over pensioner's bag snatch

Police are hunting a man who stole a pensioner's handbag.
It happened around 4pm yesterday (24 Dec) in an alleyway between Union Street and St John Street, Mansfield.
The 68-year-old woman was approached by the offender who assaulted her and then stole her handbag, which contained money, bank cards, her purse and passport. Her walking stick was also taken.
She was treated at hospital for a lip injury and has since been released.
The suspect is described as white, 5ft 7" to 5ft 8" tall, and of slim build.
