Woman seriously injured in collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which left one woman seriously injured.
The crash happened in Calverton Road, Arnold, at about 3.30am on Sunday (5 August 2012) when a silver Peugeot 307 left the road and went into a ditch near to the Dorket Head junction.
A 29-year-old woman was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre where she remains in a stable condition.
A number of other people in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Witnesses, or anyone who may have see the vehicle prior to the collision, is asked to call the Crash Investigation Team on 101, extension 800 2225.
