Updated on 7th February 2012
Police have released images of a man they want to speak to after a stolen bank card was used to withdraw cash.
A 28-year-old Newark had been using the gym at LA Fitness, in Northern Road, Newark, when he discovered his wallet was missing from his locker.
It was later established that one of his bank cards had been used to withdraw cash from his bank account from Halifax bank in Newark the same day.
A man presented the cash card at the bank and told staff he did not have a pin number, forged a signature and convinced them to hand over money to him.
CCTV images taken inside the bank have identified a man police would like to speak to about the incident, which happened on Tuesday 25 October 2011.
He is white, about 6ft tall, clean shaven, wearing glasses with grey, receding hair.
He’s around 45 years old, of average build, wearing a green jacket partially zipped up with a white shirt and a tie on underneath.
The man also wore dark trousers and dark shoes.
Anyone who recognises the man, or has any information, should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
