Updated on 21st February 2012

Two forklift trucks have been stolen from a compound in Langar.

The two yellow CAT trucks are believed to have been stolen from a secure premises at Trent Shot Blasting, in Harby Road, between 5.30pm on Friday (17 February 2012) and 6am Saturday (18 February 2012).

The thieves are thought to have entered and left the site via the nearby air field, and go karting and quad bike track.

Detective Sergeant Tara Clapperton, of Beeston CID, said: “This was a brazen theft of two very large, very noisy vehicles at a time when there would be little need for them to be on the roads.

“If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the area or on the surrounding roads around the time of the theft, or knows the whereabouts of the trucks, which would, frankly, be very difficult to hide, please get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
