Bike stolen after teen punched

Updated on 3rd January 2012

Robbers punched a teenager before stealing his BMX bike.

The ‘Mongoose’ BMX bicycle was taken from the 14-year-old boy as he rode along Broomhill Road in Hucknall, between 2.15pm and 2.30pm on Saturday 3 December 2011.

As he passed the junction with Brookside, a group of six males approached him from the opposite direction. One is thought to have then punched him in the stomach, knocking him from his bike, before riding away with it into Titchfield Park.

The group of boys were aged between 14 and 16. The victim described his attacker as having stitches under his right eye.

Inspector Hayley Williams said: "The offender in this case is quite distinctive in that he had some newly applied stitches to his right eye.
