Motorists foot vandal's bill

Six cars have been damaged by a vandal in Clipstone.

The incident took place between 5pm on Friday 6 January and 11am on Saturday 7 January 2012 when someone appears to have walked along South Crescent with a sharp instrument and scratched parked vehicles along the way.

PC Ian Appleby said: “This sort of criminal damage is not only upsetting to the owners of the vehicles, but it is also very costly to repair what is, frankly, needless and mindless acts of vandalism.”

Witnesses or anyone with any information about the offender is asked to contact PC Ian Appleby at Ollerton Police Station on 101 extension 808 7064 quoting incident number 426 of 7 January 2011, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
