Caravan batteries stolen from Clipstone site

Updated on 12th January 2012

Police are investigating the theft of 18 heavy duty batteries from caravans parked at a storage site in Clipstone.

The thefts occurred at the Homestead Caravan Storage site in Seventh Avenue some time between 11pm on Friday 6 January and 1pm the following day.

Each of the batteries is 16ins x 10ins x 8ins, and it is thought they may have been stolen to be sold on to scrap yards.

Officers investigating the thefts are keen to trace an R registration silver Peugeot car which was seen in the area at the time of the thefts.

If anyone has any information about the thefts, believes they know who is responsible or has been offered any of the batteries, they should telephone PCSO Keith Crowhurst at Ollerton Police Station on 101, ext 808 7054, quoting incident number 426 of 7 January.

Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
