Burglars sssssteal boa

Updated on 9th November 2012

Residents in Nottinghamshire are being asked to look out for a snake that was stolen from a house in Stapleford.

Burglars took ‘Jane’, the two-year-old Lipstick Jungle Boa, when they broke into a house in Church Street, between 2.30pm on Sunday 4 November 2012 and 12.30pm on Monday 5 November 2012. Stolen_snake

The intruders smashed the rear patio window and also stole a digital receiver box.

PC Sonya Thompson said: “The snake is a red and brown constrictor and approximately 1.5ft long (the darker snake in this photograph). Being that we are in England and we don’t see many around the place the snake is very distinctive.

“It is not dangerous as it’s only a baby but without the correct equipment it will likely die. If you know where Jane is, or see her, please call us.”
