Appeal for information about village burglaries

Updated on 23rd October 2012

Police have appealed for information about two burglaries which occurred in a Nottinghamshire village in the space of an hour.

The houses in Forest Road and Blind Lane in Oxton were unoccupied at the time of the burglaries, which took place between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday 10 October.

High value jewellery items and electrical goods were stolen from both addresses, and entry was gained by forcing the locked side door at the house in Forest Road and the rear patio doors of the property in Blind Lane.

Anyone who saw anyone or any vehicles that aroused suspicion in the village at around the time of the break-ins, or who knows anything about the burglaries, is asked to telephone Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident numbers 476 and 481 of 10 October.

Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
