Witness appeal to Farnsfield crash

Updated on 23rd October 2012

Police investigating a crash in Farnsfield are keen to speak to a number of people who stopped at the scene to help.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision which happened in Longland Lane at about 4.30pm on Friday 19 October 2012.

A 58-year-old woman, who was driving one of the cars, sustained serious injuries and was taken to King’s Mill Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.

Several people waited at the scene for the emergency services to arrive but left before police could speak to them.

Officers particularly want to trace a doctor who stopped and treated the woman driver and a nurse who assisted the man driving the other car.

Anyone with information about the collision is urged to call DC Helen Neaverson, in the Crash Investigation Team, on 101 extension 800 2227, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
