A 12-year-old boy who sustained serious injuries in a road crash has died.

Jeffrey Townley was on a bicycle when he was in collision with a Peugeot van in Linby Road, Hucknall, at about 7.50pm on Thursday 6 September 2012.

The boy, from Hucknall, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre where he died yesterday (Sunday 9 September 2012) as a result of his injuries.

Officers are appealing to any motorists, pedestrians or residents, who witnessed the incident to contact police.

Anyone with information is asked to call DC Katie Stokes, from the Crash Investigation Unit, on 101 extension 800 2225.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in which a 12-year-old boy sustained serious injuries.

The boy was on a bicycle when he was in collision with a Peugeot van in Linby Road, Hucknall, at about 7.50pm on Thursday 6 September 2012.

He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the van was not injured.

Officers are appealing to any motorists, pedestrians or residents, who witnessed the incident to contact police.
