Body believed to be missing man

A body found in Mapperley Park this morning is believed to be missing man Lloyd McDevitt.

Mr McDevitt, 42, was last seen in St Ann’s on Tuesday 21 August and reported missing two days later.

A member of public found the body of a man in woodland off The Crescent shortly before 9am today (Thursday 4 October) and alerted police.

It is believed to be that of Mr McDevitt but formal identification is still yet to take place.

A Home Office post-mortem examination is due to be carried out this afternoon.
