Police investigating a harassment case are trying to trace two girls or young women who may have been approached by a man offering to put pictures of them on a website.

It is thought the man made the invitation at an arts festival in Nottingham last month.

It is known that the females were at the event in Goose Gate at around 2pm on 11 August when a man approached them.

It is believed he may have told them that he worked for a website about Nottingham and wanted pictures of them to go on the site. He may also have requested their details, including phone numbers.

It was at the same event that a 14-year-old girl was approached by a man who made a similar request and asked for her details.

Since the event, the girl has received a number of telephone calls at home, prompting her family to call the police.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of harassment and is currently on bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone who believes they can assist the investigation is asked to contact PC 2825 Rob Phillips at Canning Circus Police Station by telephoning 101, ext 850 6363 or 07595 074031

Alternatively, they can telephone Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
