Murder inquiry launched after stabbing victim dies

A murder inquiry has been launched after a grandfather, who was stabbed during an incident at a house in Carlton, died in hospital.
Officers attended a property in Cliff Road at about 10.25pm on Monday 10 September 2012. A 68-year-old man was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in a critical condition.
He died on Thursday evening (13 September 2012).
The victim has been named as Giuseppe Difina. A Home Office pathologist found he died as a result of being stabbed. 
His relatives have been informed and they are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Mr Difina’s son, 40-year-old Vito Difina, of Cavendish Road, Carlton, who was previously arrested and charged in connection with the incident, was remanded into custody by Nottingham Magistrates on Wednesday 12 September 2012.
He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday 26 September 2012.
