Be a crimefighter: Do your bit to help tackle crime

Share by emailShare by email

We rely on the support of responsible, law-abiding citizens in our local communities to help tackle crime and make our neighbourhoods safer places to live and work in and visit.

All you need to be a crimefighter is common sense, determination to stop criminals and some helpful hints and tips that you'll find here.

Our Crime Prevention Unit is a group of highly-trained individuals who specialise in crime prevention and problem solving techniques.

They can help you with anything you need to know about preventing crime. If you are a victim of crime, for example, if your house has been burgled, your shed has been broken into or your business has been targeted, we can help to ensure it doesn't happen again.

You can contact the unit to discuss your problem and one of our Crime Prevention Managers will offer the most appropriate crime prevention advice. They can also help if you aren't a victim of crime but have heard about crimes locally and would like to prevent it from happening to you.

For example, if your neighbour's home has been broken into and you are concerned about the security of your own home you can make contact with us for home security advice. We can supply a selection of crime prevention products at cost price. For more information on the products available please see our toolkit order form.
