Crime Reduction
While the police have a vital role in fighting crime and protecting people, no police force can reduce and prevent crime on its own. We rely on the support of responsible, law-abiding citizens, local communities and partner organisations to tackle crime and make our neighbourhoods, towns and cities better and safer places to live, work and visit.
Nottinghamshire Police works with local authorities and other partners to tackle crime and address the underlying problems that often contribute to crime – problems such as drug misuse and social exclusion. We also support individuals, families, communities and businesses to take steps to minimise the risk of becoming a victim of crime.
