Share by emailShare by email

Since the introduction of a Nottingham Citywide Designated Public Place Order (DPPO), prohibiting the possession of open containers of alcohol in public places, reports of individuals involved in street drinking in the Hockley and Lace Market area have continued to be a concern.

Nottingham City Council wants people's views on the issue and have released the following survey. Its aim is to understand the street drinking issues in the Hockley and Lace Market area over the last 12 months. Street drinking refers to anyone who drinks alcohol on the street in an antisocial manner for example people congregating in large numbers, shouting and intimidating others.
