Bike Event

IS YOUR BIKE ROADWORTHY? Come down to the Skate Park at the Canch between 12pm and 5pm on Thursday 9th April with your bike and get a FREE MOT from Notts Police and Notts Fire and Rescue. FREE bike locks etc. will be provided where needed, donated by Bassetlaw Disctrict Council, FREE Security Marking by Police and FREE registration onto the IMMOBILISE Property Register.

Community Event

All members of the local community are invited to the Café situated in the pavilion at King Edward Park, Carlton Road. The Café, run by volunteers from the local Tenants and Residents group, is being re-opened following a recent refurbishment. Free refreshments will be available. The group are also hoping to provide facilities for a mini job fair, five a side football matches to promote local sport and a bouncy castle for the little ones. This will also be an excellent opportunity to meet your local Neighbourhood Policing Team and have a chat about any concerns you may have with regard to local crime and antisocial behaviour issues.

Sherwood Contact Point Open day

On Saturday the 7th of March 2015, the SHERWOOD POLICE CONTACT POINT, 506 Mansfield Road, Sherwood will open to members of the public between 10am and 3pm.

 Officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team will be on hand to offer advice and discuss local issues. There will also be an opportunity to meet members of the local Neighbourhood Watch and officers from the parking enforcement team.

If you are a local resident, we will be giving away, FREE, crime prevention products such as solar lights, windows alarms, timers, UV pens etc etc.

We are keen to recruit local volunteers, to participate and run, the local SHERWOOD community speed watch group. Further details will be available on the day. You will also have an opportunity to register for Neighbourhood ALERT, and complete a community survey.
