This has subsequently been agreed by the Sherwood Priority setting Meeting on the 17/01/12 to be a priority.
Vehicle related anti social behaviour in Edwinstowe has been identified as a priority, including vehicles being driven at speed, loud exhausts, speeding. there are also problems with groups of young people gathering with their vehicles being loud and disturbing residents.
Our Response
We will conduct high profile patrols using Beat Officers, PCSOs and Special Constables in the affected areas. Any groups seen gathering in car parks with their vehicles will be advised about their behaviour and enforcement action taken if required.
Speed enforcement will be undertaken.
Update Jan 2012
Areas where Anti Social Behaviour has been an issue in Edwinstowe have been targeted by the team as part of a patrol plan during evening times as part of an ongoing operation which also utilises the assistance of ASB officers from Kelham Hall. These were identified from reported incidents and community feedback, such as outside the Co-Op on the High Street and Sherwood Forest visitors centre . There has been a noticeable reduction in the number of incidents reported and groups found in these areas. The Cricket Pavilion area is still suffering ASB and damage and the local people responsible for the upkeep are looking to install CCTV and better lighting not only to try and combat the behaviour but also to help identify any persons responsible. Alcohol has been seized off a number of local youths who have been found drinking on the High Street and Henton Road and it has been pointed out to them that Edwinstowe is a designated public place and that the police have powers to stop street drinking which can result in Anti Social Behaviour.
Young persons consuming alcohol is also a key point which has been raised at the local pub watch meetings and we have encouraged staff to check the age of persons entering Licenced premises and to monitor people drinking outside in the smoking areas to make sure young persons are not being supplied with alcohol.
The local team will continue to target any areas identified by the community and from incidents reported.

Nearby residents complain of loud music being played by cars parked in the car park, they can hear cars racing around the car park and noise from the recycling centre. This is happening mainly in the evening, throughout the week and when the store is open and when it is closed.
Our Response
Update December 2011
There has been a distinct improvement in the situation at Tesco in relation to complaints of vehicle nuisance. There have been no reports of Vehicle Nuisance in the last 3 months and very few this year (compared to previous years). Tesco have agreed to implement further measures to sustain this reduction (i.e. a permanent barrier and extra bollards). There is still an issue with anti-social behaviour and much of this relates to young persons on skateboards and scooters. The Dispersal Order has been renewed on 04/12/2011 for a further 6 months. Parents are asked to advise their children that Tesco car park is clearly not a suitable location to play. The local Neighbourhood Policing Team is continuing to patrol the area and monitor the situation. - Dog fouling of footpaths and public areas Show details
