We have received complaints from members of the public, staff at Tesco and local residents of groups of young people hanging around in the evenings, causing a nuisance and being abusive.
Our Response
Increased high visibility patrols in the area.
Those responsible will be identified, warned re their future behaviour and if they persist in their actions enforcement action will be taken with the Newark and Sherwood District Council ASB team.
This priority is now also included on the new anti-social behaviour operation ‘Animism’ which is carried out by officers formally between Thursdays and Sundays. - Anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in Lowdham Show details

Anti-social behaviour and criminal damage has been identified as a neighbourhood priority for Lowdham particularly in and around the bowling club, village hall, car park and recreational area.
The problems include damage to the bowling club shelters, arson to benches, littering, graffiti and evidence of drug use.
It has also been reported that vehicles have been driven in and around the car park in a dangerous manner causing alarm to residents and users of the village hall.
The problems are occurring mainly over the weekend between 6pm and early hours of the morning although some incidents have also been reported on week days.
The issues were discussed at the Safer Neighbourhood Committee meeting which was held on 7th November at Farnsfield Community Centre where the Safer Neighbourhood Team met with local residents and local parish councillors. It was then decided that this was to be a neighbourhood priority and has continued as to be as incidents have still been reported.
Our Response
High visibility foot and mobile patrols are to be continuously carried out by the local PCSO’s, The Beat Manager, Reponsce PC’s and Special Constables.
Stop/searches will be carried out on those suspected to be in possession of illegal substances and those in possession of cigarettes and alcohol when underage and appropriate action taken.
Section 59 warning and seizure notices will be issued to drivers who are seen to be using their vehicle in a dangerous manner, causing alarm and distress to other road users.
Tickets for littering will be issued to offenders where applicable and action will be taken against those found causing criminal damage to property.
This priority is now also included on the new anti-social behaviour operation ‘Animism’ which is carried out by officers formally between Thursdays and Sundays. - Rural house burglaries Show details
