- Anti-Social behaviour - Bilsthorpe Show details
There have been problems with youths congregating and causing damage on Saville Road and Crompton Road Park.
Several New Builds in that area have been also been damaged.
ASB is also becoming a problem on Maid Marion Avenue, as youths are gathering on the park being rowdy, littering and consuming alcohol. Several cars park along the road of Maid Marion Ave next to the park , driving inconsideratly and playing loud music.
Our Response
Update August 2010: High visibility patrols by local PCSOs and the beat manager have been carried out to deter any further offences. Reports have been recieved of problems in the Maid Marion play area and joint enforcement action is to be taken with Newark & Sherwood Anti-Social Behaviour Team.
Update October 2010; A recent community survey was carried out to gather further information on the behaviour of the park users.
This information has been reviewed and operations will be carried out by the local beat team in due course to resolve the anti-social behaviour identified in the surveys.

Complaints of teenagers causing nuisance on the streets and play parks. Criminal damage has occurred in many parts of the village in the last six months.

High visibility patrols will continue and appropriate action taken against offenders.

- Vehicle related nuisance - Lowdham Show details
Illegal parking on main street - There are double yellow lines one side of the road near the Co-op on Main Street. Vehicles are parking on these and in the loading space outside the Co-op while they visit the shop. This is causing problems with obstruction to the pavement and road, as buses and similar vehicles find it hard to get through. There are also problems for delivery vehicles trying to unload.
Our Response
Police cones will remain outside the Co-op and fixed penalty notices issued. Patrols will be used as a deterrent. Work will also continue with the parish council to problem solve.

There are issues of noise and litter from groups of youths gathering on the park and field and close to a local shop. There is also believed to be some underage drinking.

Other damage includes smashed windows to property and walls being pulled down and fences broken.

Our Response
Discussions to be held with Newark and Sherwood Council following the introduction of their new digital system which allow new systems to be put in place in a more cheaply that was previously the case. This is likely to be a medium term objective.

This is a medium term priority. Discussions will be held with Newark and Sherwood District Council and this will be managed through the Safer Neighbourhood Group
- Criminal Damage / Vehicle related nuisance Bilsthorpe Show details
Criminal damage has slightly increased in relation to Bilsthorpe Village Hall.
There has been problems with local youths climbing onto the roof and causing damage when running across the roof tiles, the problem has been raised by the parish council as the damage has been proving very costly.
There have been several reports from memebers of the public regarding vehicles speeding and driving erractically on the Forest Link estate at Bilsthorpe, before parking up in the Southwell Trail Car Park and the occupants being rowdy and consuming alcohol.

Update October 2010. In relation to the criminal damage at the village hall, the local beat team are paying extra attention to the area and have increased their patrols.
A letter was sent to residents who live in the surrounding area of the village hall and have been encouraged to report any incidents where youths are congregating around and climbing on the premises.
In relation to the vehicle nuisance, high visibility patrols are being carried out, alcohol is being seized by those who are drinking under the legal age limit and Section 59 warning/seizure notices are being issued where appropriate to those who are driving inconsiderately.
