West Bassetlaw
The West Bassetlaw Neighbourhood Policing Area covers the north west of the division. Worksop is the main population and commercial centre, and the town’s police station is also the divisional headquarters. The area also encompasses popular countryside attractions including Clumber Park and the Welbeck Estate.
Officers are committed to reducing crime and disorder by working with local people to improve their quality of life. Each ward in West Bassetlaw has a dedicated Beat Manager who works with residents to find long-term solutions to community issues. The area has seen year on year reductions in burglary, vehicle crime and drug dealing.
A renewed emphasis is now being placed on anti-social behaviour and criminal damage, which accounts for a third of all crime in the area.
