Worksop North West
The North West Beat Area is made up of the geographical areas of Sandy Lane, West Gateford, Rhodesia and Shireoaks. There are three small industrial estates, which are easily accessible to the A57 Worksop ring road, which runs through the western side of the area.
The Sandy Lane Estate borders the Town Centre Beat Area with the Chesterfield Canal acting as a natural border between the two. The Gateford Estate is situated at the far north of the area.
Situated to the west of the Chesterfield Canal are the villages of Rhodesia, and Shireoaks.
Under the Policing Pledge, this is an urban beat and has a 15 minute emergency response time. For an explanation of what this means click here.

Beat Update
Update May 2012
This month we welcome PC Fellows who as joined the team as a new beat manager to the area, I'm sure you will all get to be meet him out and about on the area soon.
Again this month our largest area of concern continues to be auto crime, we have had a large number of vehicles attacked where they have had the exhaust systems stolen, especially from commercial vehicles. No matter what type of vehicle you have, can we ask you to careful where you park your vehicles. If you have a motorbike then please make sure that it is locked up, many of Worksops criminals enjoy stealing bikes, and if you leave your unlocked then will be stealing them for their enjoyment.
Plus there are firms that mark up your exhaust systems, this won't guarantee that you exhaust system won't get stolen, but it should help us possibly get your items back to you, if found.
If you have any concerns you would like to raise with the beat team then you can fill out one of the Neighbourhood Priority Surveys on the below link, or pass your concerns to local Councillors, Housing Managers, or stop any one of us when you see us in the street. A meeting where we discuss all the issues on the area is the Safer Neighbourhood Group Meeting, the next one is at 1800 hours on 31/05/2012 at The Claylands Allotments, Claylands Avenue, Worksop.
