Grange Farm beat covers the top end of the Ladybrook estate down to the Kingsmill side of Sutton Road.

The beat boundary is the right hand side of Sutton Road travelling in the direction of Morrisons. (It also includes The Hermitage area as far as Kingsmill reservoir). Morrisons supermarket is within this beat but not the hospital. The boundary then covers Skegby Lane to Abbot Road junction, Brick Kiln Lane to Sutton Road and the John Cockle pub.

    • 7th Estate Walkabout
      Brookside Hall (meet up point), 6:00pm - 7:00pm
      Beat team will be patrolling the local area with Councillor June Stendall to highlight any issues.
    • 13th Estate walkabout.
      Longstone Way Mansfield and the surrounding area., 2:00pm - 3:00pm
      At this time the Mansfield District Council Housing Officer will accompany Councillors and Police staff as they walk around the area identifying any problems in the area that any of the parties present can address. Police staff will always try and attend these walkabouts where duties allow. The attendance of the partner agencies will vary but members of the public are welcome to meet with Officers at these events.
    • 18th Street Surgery
      Lamond Close, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
      The beat team will be asking residents to complete surveys and sign up for Neighbourhood alert. please fill them in and have your say

Beat Update

February 2012
Warrants have been executed on the beat cluster with some success. Cannabis plants and Amphetamine have been seized and the subsequent court cases have seen offenders punished by the court. Many of the warrants are obtained using information from the public. Please contact the SNT or use the Crimestoppers number below.

Officers are already being deployed in the area using speed detection devices in an attempt to reduce the speed of vehicles in particular on Skegby Lane where heavy goods vehicles that are over 7.5 ton maximum gross weight will also be stopped.

The team have recently begun revisiting local primary schools. A recent visit to Redgate School saw the team talking to the young people and they were able to look around a Police vehicle.

The team will be running further fishing competitions for young people from the area. For places at the events contact Pc Tierney or PCSO Kordecki using the contact details on the website. The next competition will be on Thursday 5th April 2012 at the Sherwood Forest Farm Park Fishery.

There has been a recent increase in burglary offences however an offender has been arrested recently and is now in prison pending trial for a number of offences some of which are in the Grange Farm and Ladybrook areas.
