Welcome to Nottingham City

Nottingham City division officers police the whole City of Nottingham local authority area, serving about 120,000 homes and more than 275,000 residents. Thousands more people travel into the city every day from the suburbs to work, shop or enjoy the bars, restaurants and theatres, and during term time about 55,000 students live in the city.

The division has integrated Nottingham City Council's Community Protection service into its structure. With 800 police officers, 120 PCSOs, 100 CPOs and 145 police staff, it is bigger than some small police forces. It is divided into four policing areas which together contain eight Neighbourhood Policing Areas where the policing style is tailored to meet the needs of each individual community.
