Park Lane
Back to Basford and Hyson Green
Park Lane and Heathfield area borders with the Bestwood area. It is situated between the main roads of Valley Road, Hucknall Road and Vernon Road just North of Radford Road Police Station.
Park Lane/Heathfield is a built up area of mainly residential streets that now contain a mixture of housing.
In the midst of the area there is a small group of businesses operating from business parks, namely Northern Court and Arnold Road. There are only a handful of local convenience shops spread throughout the area.
The area has only one school, Southwark Infants School, Bulwell Lane
Under the Policing Pledge, this is an urban beat and has a 15 minute emergency response time. For an explanation of what this means click here.

The quarterly Ward Forum meeting will be held at Southwark Infants School on the 1st February for all residents of the Park Lane, Whitemore and Stockhill area. Attending will be the officers from beat teams, local councillors, neighbourhood action officers and other council partners. Please do come along to hear about new initiatives being launched, crime figures and community projects. You can all raise any concerns or issues with us at the meeting.
We always encourage for residents to have Smartwater at their home addresses to help deter burglaries, we are delighted to report that we have had a success in using smartwater. We have been able to locate a sample on a stolen childs push bike and send it off for testing, the result came back to the address from where the bike was stolen from. We were able to return the bike back to its original a very grateful young child.
The beat team is still piloting the new initiative called Nottinghamshire Alert. This works by the Neighbourhood Policing Team sending emails/texts to people who have signed up to it and letting them know what is happening in their area on a regular basis. Please get in contact with your local officers if you are interested or you can log on to the Nottingham Police website home page and join from there.
If you have any concerns or witness any suspicious activity please do not hesitate to contact us at the earliest opportunity to investigate the matter.
