Beat Update

Current Update - February 2012

Dear Sherwood Rise Residents

On the whole crime has decreased over the year, which is great news.

• Burglary down by 38%
• Robbery down by 28%

We saw a small decrease in thefts from vehicles in January but a small increase in criminal damage to vehicles (mainly due to a two night period where tyres had been slashed on a number of cars) and as such are asking residents to keep a watchful eye on the community this month. Please keep you eyes peeled for any vehicles or persons that may be involved in suspicious behavior around vehicles and where possible pay attention to any vehicle registrations.
If you do see any suspicious behavior or you are a victim of autocrime, then please ensure you report it on 101. The Beat Team will be out and about patrolling the area so please stop and talk to them if you have any concerns.

If you have any other concerns you can talk to one of the local officers either by visiting one of our “Meet and Greet” events, please see the Local Events listed on the website, or by using the contact numbers for your team which are also listed on the website or just stop and chat when you see us out and about.
