Bestwood/Sherwood
The Bestwood and Sherwood Neighbourhood Policing Area, based at Oxclose Lane Police Station, covers the areas of Mapperley Park, Sherwood, Bestwood and Top Valley, which lie to the north of Nottingham city centre.
Sherwood is a residential, shopping and commercial district located off the A60 Nottingham to Mansfield Road, while the Bestwood Estate, Bestwood Park and Top Valley residential areas lie north of the Nottingham ring road.
The Neighbourhood Policing Area area includes Nottingham Prison, Nottingham City Hospital and Southglade Food Park. Operation Kingdom, a multi-agency policing and neighbourhood management initiative, is working to improve the quality of life on the Bestwood Estate.
