Bulwell Hall

Back to Bulwell

The Bulwell Hall area incorporates a mixture of council, private and rented accommodation. There is a golf course and a public park, a community Centre, local shops, doctors surgeries, a leisure centre, TA centre, a Gypsy and Traveller Caravan Park and a Tram stop with links to Hucknall and the city centre. The 2001 Census describes the area as having 1865 dwelling premises.

There are three schools in the area called St Marys Primary, Springfield Primary and Bulwell Academy.

Under the Policing Pledge, this is an urban beat and has a 15 minute emergency response time. For an explanation of what this means click here.

Beat Update

28th April 2012

Where has the sunshine gone??

Crime continues to fall on the beat area which is great news. There have been two reported burglaries on the main Bulwell Hall Estate, so again I am asking all suspicious behaviour to be reported to the police, it will be the only way we can deal with the offenders. Continue in your vigilance regarding your own property security.

A successful meeting was held at the Church on Ragdale Road regarding anti social behaviour in and around Merchant Street. Councillors for the area were also in attendance. It gave the local residents the opportunity to report problem people to the Safer Neighbourhood team and to show a united stance on crime in the area. To date there has been a significant decrease in the calls regarding ASB in the area.

Can I remind residents that if you wish to report a crime that has happened or is in progress then to please call either 101 or 999.

I am pleased to report that all crime is down on the beat, we have had 20 less crimes this year compared to the previous year which is wonderful. There has been a 57% reduction on all Serious and Acquisitive Crime this year too.
