Clifton and Meadows
The Clifton and Meadows Neighbourhood Policing Area covers The Meadows, immediately south of Nottingham city centre, and Clifton, which lies to the south west of the city.
The area includes The Meadows, the Lenton Lane industrial estate, the Silverdale and Wilford residential areas and Clifton, a large residential estate and district shopping centre south of the River Trent.

Through consultation with the members of the public in this neighbourhood we regularly set out a number of priorities to be tackled.

Shops at junction of Rivergreen and Sunninghill Drive including surrounding streets.

Our Response
April 2012
Officers have received information from local businesses that groups of youths are now gathering outside the shops on Sunninghill Drive and patrols have been redirected to tackle this issue. As those involved are identified appropriate steps will be taken to address their behaviour. If you see anti-social behaviour in your area please call the Police so we can direct our officers to where you need them most.

The number of calls relating to ASB at Varney Road shops has now reduced and the CCTV camera at the junction of Greencroft and Varney Road has been reinstated to help tackle this issue. Officers and members of the Safer Neighbourhood Team are still regularly patrolling the area around the shops to reassure residents and prevent any further anti-social behaviour.

Following a review of our Neighbourhood Priorities a new priority has been set for each of the ward areas in Clifton. The priority for Clifton North ward reflects our continuing efforts to reduce anti-social behaviour around the shopping areas in Clifton. Based on the results of priority surveys completed and calls for service from the public we have identified a growing concern about disorderly behaviour in the identified area.
This area is receiving regular patrols from your local Policing team who are working with local businsses to identify those responsible and address their behaviour. If you are aware of anyone involved in anti-social behaviour who would benefit from Police contact please get in touch with our team at Clifton police station.

Main shops along Southchurch Drive between Donnington rd and Green Lane.
The Clifton area has seen an increase in complaints of ASB and percieved ASB, particularly around groups of youths gathering, being rowdy and intimidating. This is concentrated around the main shopping areas of the estate.
Our Response
April 2012
Reports from the public regarding issues in this specific area have reduced significantly. Three individuals have been issued with Anti-social behaviour contracts to address their behaviour and we will continue to monitor the situation. If you see anti-social behaviour in your community please call the Police so we can direct our officers to where you need them most.

Old Meadows encompassing Wilford Crescent East from the Embankment, Woodward Street, Turney Street, Pyatt Street Holgate Road, Woolmer Road, Beauvale Road and Glapton Road.
The Meadows area has seen an increase in complaints of ASB particularly around groups of youths gathering being rowdy and intimidating.

Levels of complaints have dropped off in this area. Police are still aware of groups gathering however no problems have been reported. Officers and memebrs of the Safer Neighbourhood Team are still paying attention to the youth club area when the kids leave to ensure they disperse quickly and quietly.

Work is ongoing in the area to tackle this issue. A public meeting was held on the 27th January 2012. Police teams and Partner agencies are working together at this time to identify groups involved and deal with them accordingly. Uniformed officers and covert tactics are being utilised to assist in dealing with the matter. Residents are being urged to report any issues they experience.
