Meet the divisional commander
Chief Supt David Walker
Temporary Chief Superintendent David Walker has spent his entire policing career in Nottinghamshire.
He grew up and went to school in the city and has served in both uniform and detective roles during his service.
“I have spent much of my policing career on the City Division in one form or another,” he said.
“I care passionately about policing and strive to provide a first class service to people whom live, work and visit Nottingham.
“We are fortunate to have strong partnership working in Nottingham that supports us in keeping our communities safe. In partnership with other agencies we have nearly halved the number of crime victims over the past seven years.
“However, we are not complacent and we will strive to reduce the number of victims even further; and as a result continue to make Nottingham safer.”
