Bendigo

Back to St Ann's and Sneinton

Sneinton Bendigo is divided into two parts ,the main part of the beat is situated in the centre of Sneinton and is bordered by Highcliffe Road to the east and Kentwood Road to the west. The beat extends to the south up to the Daleside Road industrial area and also spreads towards the Colwick Park direction and the industrial area on Old Colwick Road is also covered.

The second part of the beat covers the Candle Meadow housing estate and Colwick Country Park . The area attracts large numbers of people especially in the summer who can enjoy two man made lakes and the River Trent. A network of roadways navigates you around the lakes and is popular for outdoor activities. Sneinton Bendigo has a very diverse community with a mixture of all nationalities made up of many ethnic minorities as well as white British residents. Accommodation is a mixture of privately owned, council, rented and housing association.

Under the Policing Pledge, this is an urban beat and has a 15 minute emergency response time. For an explanation of what this means click here.

Beat Update

01/02/2012- The start of the year has been positive with few reported incidents of anti social behaviour. Noise is an issue for some residents in the area so consider your neighbours if you keep the volume up on a regular basis. Action could be taken against you.

Remember to report anything you see that is suspicious. Scrap metal theft is less of an issue in Sneinton this month. Be vigilant with securing your home and cars when you go out.
Even whilst at home secure your front and back doors to avoid an opportunist burglar.
If you see anything suspicious call the control room on 101. In an emergency call 999

If you have any information regarding criminal activity or wanted people you could call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and earn yourself a little extra as a reward.

If you are interested in what your local Neighbourhood police team are doing look at the website-your local police or come to one of the community events that take place regularly.

For important updates we would like you to register with Neighbourhood alert.
