Sneinton Elements

Back to St Ann's and Sneinton

The following roads border the Sneinton Elements Beat area. Carlton road close to the junction with Porchester Road, to Bath Street, along Sneinton Road and then Windmill Lane to it’s junction with Carlton Road. There is one primary school located within the area and a large college campus. There is also a large park within the area, King Edward Park, which is currently being redesigned with the help of the local community. Located along the Carlton Road corridor is an industrial area consisting mostly of smaller commercial industrial units.

Under the Policing Pledge, this is an urban beat and has a 15 minute emergency response time. For an explanation of what this means click here.

Beat Update

01/02/2012 - Sneinton Elements Beat Update.

To start I would like to remind you about Neighbourhood Alert. This is a free community messaging system which you can sign up to and be kept informed of important issues within your area. I would encourage you to have a look and see if this useful facility might be for you. You may access it from this web site or directly at
www. nottinghamshirealert.co.uk
I am keen to get as many of you signed up to this service as possible as I believe it really useful. If you cannot access it online for any reason, give me a call as I can arrange for your details to be placed on the system at the Police Station.

Incidents of crime on the beat over the past month continues to be relatively low.

There have been a number of incidents of antisocial behaviour which has been a bit of a mixed bag although the majority have been noise related.

Thankfully, while not totally eradicated, the level of vehicle crime has fallen significantly.

So all in all, good news. We do not wish to appear complacent however, and I know that things can change very quickly. If there are things going on that we may not be aware of please let us know, either directly or via Crimestoppers.

Can I remind you again of the new and much simplified number that you may use to contact the police in circumstances that do not constitute an emergency. Simply dial 101. All calls cost just 15p regardless of call length. The cost is the same from both landline and mobile telephones.

Finally, if you have any issues at all which you need to raise with us, please do not hesitate to call.
