Southern - Kimberley, Watnall and Nuthall
Kimberley is a small town and is bordered on three sides by major roads, the M1 motorway, the A610 dual carriageway and the B600 Watnall Road. On the fourth side of Kimberley is the Giltbrook retail park. Kimberley town contains many local shops and two major retailers. Within the town centre are five Public Houses. The Town is bisected by Main Street. The Town Library, with local information, is on Main street.
Watnall is a small satellite residential area attached to Kimberley on one side and bordered by the M1 Motorway on the other side, the main road route running through is the B600. There are two Public Houses and a Post Office within Watnall. There is no town centre shopping area.
Situated on the B600 is Watnall Weather Station which is still in operation.

Through consultation with the members of the public in this neighbourhood we regularly set out a number of priorities to be tackled.

Our Response
Beat officers will use the handheld speed camera to identify offending vehicles. We will advise motorists, caution or prosecute them depending on each individual circumstance. Persistent offenders with be repeatedly targeted.
Local residents will be asked if they would like to set up a community speedwatch to help us to identify the persistent offenders and more effectively target them.
We will regularly liaise with the Force Speed Enforcement Team and Operational Support to see if we meet the criteria for their attendance and action.

- Antisocial behaviour Show details
Stag Park Kimberley
The issues raised by local residents are underage drinking of alcohol and antisocial behaviour mainly by young people on an area of the park no longer used for sporting activities.
This is happening weekdays from approximately 4pm till 10pm and into the weekend.
The Park is ordered on two sides by dwellings and it is these residents that are suffering from the antisocial behaviour.
Basil Russell Park
Local residents have concerns that groups of youths are congregating on the park drinking, taking drugs and causing a general nuisance (antisocial behaiour). Local residents do not want to go on the park due to concerns raised. This problem is happening throughout the week at various times.
Our Response
Nottinghamshire Police will conduct high profile patrols using Beat officers, PCSOs and Special Constables.
These officers will pay attention to the locations taking positive action against anyone who is disturbing the peace.
Any young person found under the influence will be taken home and their parents spoken to.
Persistent troublemakers will be asked to enter into an antisocial behavioural contract with us and the Councils Antisocial behaviour Officers to improve their conduct.
We with closely monitor licensed premises with our partners within the Council Licensing Department and Trading Standards.
Any breaches of law with be dealt with.
Nottinghamshire Police with also conduct ‘test purchases’ to ensure compliance.
We will also talk with Youth Services to ensure there are diversionary activities for young people taking place.
Officers are to use their Section 27 powers of dispersal to combat Antisocial behaviour/alcohol related nuisance. This bans youths from a specific area for up to 24 hours.
- Antisocial behaviour Show details
Youth anti-social behaviour has been identified as a problem through community engagements and neighbourhood priority surveys. This priority was decided at a Super Local Area Group Meeting.
Groups of youth have been reported to gather in the Kimberley precinct and outside the local Sainsbury store. Groups of youths have been identified to have been drinking in and around the Kimberley leisure centre and walk down Newdigate Street and into the above location.
Our Response
Local Council and Police to consider DPPO. This was presented at a meeting after the setting of this priority.
The local youth group are strengthening their no drinking policy and are adapting to support this issue.
Broxtowe Borough Councils anti-social Behaviour team are currently looking at persistant offenders with a view of ABC's and ASBO applications.
Rigours enforcement from the local beat team / special constabulary in relation to incidents and repeat offenders. This includes use of dispersal orders.
