    Priority Settings Meeting (PSM) update
    This priority has been identified after consultation with the local community; through Police Patchwalk meetings, beat surgeries, Neighbourhood Priority Surveys and all other engagement opportunities.
    This has subsequently been agreed by the Southern Cluster Local Area Group on 19/01/12 that Burglary was to be a priority for the cluster.

    Our Response
    There is an active Neighbourhood Watch scheme which gives occupants in the area regular updates on currents issues.
    There has been a increase in the amount of burglaries reported from this time last year within the cluster.
    We need members of the public to be more vigilant
    High visibilty patrols to be carried out by local beat team and Special Constables.
    Burglary operations will continue to be carried out within the Southern Cluster.

    February 2012 Update

    You were concerned about the increase in dwelling burglaries within the cluster.

    WE DID
    High visibility patrols have been carried out at all times of the day in the local areas to provide reassurance to the residents and to deter any potential offenders.
    Repeat locations that were identified to be vulnerable, were target hardened by means of revisits and leaflet drops. Referrals have been made to partner agencies for funding for neighbourhood watch signs.

    There have been a number of garages and sheds broken into during February and early March in the Kimberley, Watnall and Nuthall areas. Various items taken including electrical and garden tools such as chainsaws and hedge trimmers.

  • Speeding Vehicles   Show details
    Two location were identified:

    Larkfields Road Nuthall

    Main Road Watnall

    Our Response
    Beat officers will use the handheld speed camera to identify offending vehicles. We will advise motorists, caution or prosecute them depending on each individual circumstance. Persistent offenders with be repeatedly targeted.

    Local residents will be asked if they would like to set up a community speedwatch to help us to identify the persistent offenders and more effectively target them.

    We will regularly liaise with the Force Speed Enforcement Team and Operational Support to see if we meet the criteria for their attendance and action.
