Meet the divisional commander

Chief Supt Ak Khan

Chief Superintendent Ak Khan will take up his new role as Divisional Commander for the County on Monday 12 September 2011.

Ch Supt Khan began and continues his 25-year career as a police officer with Nottinghamshire Police.

Over the years he has progressed through the ranks, spending time as the Divisional Commander for Division A and working in the regional Change team.

Before taking up his new role of heading up the County, Ch Supt Khan spent the last two years as Divisional Commander of the Operational Support Department.

He will be based at Mansfield Police Station.
