Gedling North
As well as covering Arnold town centre, Gedling North Neighbourhood Policing Area includes several villages – Calverton, Woodborough, Newstead, Bestwood Village, Papplewick, Linby and Ravenshead.
Neighbourhood priorities in Gedling North continue to be to reduce the number of burglary offences, alcohol-related violence, to cut vehicle crime, and to tackle antisocial behaviour.
Nottinghamshire Police and Gedling Borough Council have teamed up to hold joint surgeries for residents with concerns about crime and antisocial behaviour.
Calverton Contact Point update - 9 December 2011
Following a review of police bases across Nottinghamshire and as a result of the decision by the Police Authority in October 2011 for certain bases to close, the local policing team at Calverton will be relocating to Arnold, High Street, as of Monday 12 December 2011.
Be assured that the Safer Neighbourhood Police team will still be dedicated to Calverton and will be making use of a drop in facility, which is being established at the Sir John Sherbrooke school, and engaging with the public at the normal pre-arranged Police surgeries.
