Inspector Andrew Knight
Inspector Knight joined Nottinghamshire Police in 1988 having completed a BA(Hons) at Sheffield University.
He initially served at Newark before working in the St Anns area of Nottingham. He then transferred on to the Operational Support Department serving as a Traffic Officer and Authorised Firearms working from Ollerton Police Station but covering the whole county.
Inspector Knight was promoted to Sergeant in 2004 and worked as a Response Supervisor from Retford Police Station, he was also involved in a project aimed at modernising the training of new recruits (Officers, Special Constables and PCSO’s).
Inspector Knight moved to Newark in 2009 as Deputy Local Area Commander before being promoted to Arnold in January 2012 as Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for Gedling North.
Inspector Knight’s priorities include:
- Targeting those who commit crime and anti-social behaviour
- Obtaining the best possible results for the area with regards to the reduction of crime and disorder
- Working in partnership with key agencies to make Gedling North a better and safer place to live
- Addressing difficult or sustained issues that affect the local neighbourhood
