Northern
This is the villages of Ravenshead, Calverton, Woodborough, Bestwood Village, Newstead Village, Linby and Papplewick which form a crescent to the north and east of Arnold which are found off the A614 and A6O heading north from Nottingham.
Each village has its own character with a variety of businesses, farms and leisure facilities.
Neighbourhood Priorities
Through consultation with the members of the public in this neighbourhood we regularly set out a number of priorities to be tackled.
- Anti Social Behaviour Show details
Following the Priority Setting Meeting held at the Arrow Centre on 12th April 2012 Anti Social Behaviour has been agreed as a priority for the Northern Cluster for period April July 2012.
Our Response
The areas identified as suffering ASB are as follows:

Over the next 3 months the Northern Cluster Beat team will continue to carry out assigned patrol plans which incorporate these areas and also to implement the following Police Operations specifically designed to combat Ant-Social behaviour, Operation Tryptophane 2 & Operation Artemis which seek to engage with youngsters, deal with offenders and reassure the community

- Speeding & Overweight Vehicles. Show details
Following the Priority Setting Meeting held at the Arrow Centre on 12th April 2012 Speeding and Overweight Vehicles have been agreed as a priority for the Northern Cluster for period April July 2012.
Our Response
All Beat managers of the Northern Cluster are trained in the use of the LTI 1000 speed detection equipment and will continue, together with our partners of the Woodborough Community Speedwatch and also the soon to be operational Calverton Community Speedwatch continue to conduct operations in order to educate and if necessary prosecute offending drivers through our areas. With the introduction of Lorry watch in parts of the Northern Cluster the local Beat team will again target and prosecute any offending vehicles.

- Nuisance vehicles To include parking issues/off road motor bikes and ASB in vehicles Show details
Following the Priority Setting Meeting held at the Arrow Centre on 12th April 2012 Nuisance Vehicles has been agreed as a priority for the Northern Cluster for period April July 2012.
Our Response
This is an ongoing effort which is primarily concentrating on parking issues around all our local schools. We will continue to work with head teachers and School Governors in an attempt to alleviate the problems of Road safety around our schools and also to use Force Level Resources to combat any/all ASB in vehicles.
