Carlton
Carlton is described as a well-established housing estate, which is sandwiched in between Carlton Hill, Nottingham, Colwick and Netherfield areas. The area has two small, but busy, shopping areas on Carlton Hill and Carlton Square, which include off-licences, restaurants and take-away premises.
Carlton has two primary schools, one on Southcliffe Road and one on Parkdale Road. There are two warden-aided complexes, six churches that vary in religion and four public houses on this beat area. There are two large blocks of flats near to Carlton Square.
There are three main roads that run through Carlton; they are Carlton Hill, Southdale Road and Oakdale Road. There are three parks within the area.
The main roads that border Carlton beat are Carlton Hill, Greenwood Road, Shorwell Road and Greendale Road.

The local Beat Manager and PCSO from your Neighbourhood Policing Team will be present in this area. The intention is to speak to members of the public outside the shops on Carlton Hill, ascertaining any problems or offering advice. We will be looking at ways to improve the living environment and would welcome you to stop us and talk to us about issues that effect you and your neighbours. NEIGHBOURHOOD PRIORITY UPDATE (Updated 03/05/12)
Over the last 30 days on the Carlton Beat area there has been 2 report of theft from motor vehicle, 3 reports of criminal damage and no reports of robbery.
At the Priority Setting meeting it was decided that Anti Social behaviour in and around the Shorwell Road / Dale Road areas of Carlton were still ongoing problems. Kensington Gardens seems to be having an increase in ASB and autocrime.We would like to encourage the residents of the above areas who are having problems to contact the Gedling Borough Council and the Police so we can gather more evidence in relation to this situation. The next Safer Neighbourhood Committees meeting is to be held on 16th July 2012 at Carlton Police Station to set the new priority areas for the next quarter.
GOOD NEWS
There have been no Burglaries or robberies on the Carlton Beat Area this month.
INCIDENT OF INTEREST/ SUSPICOUS INCIDENT
Three deliberate secondary fires have occurred within the time period of 06/03/12 to 10/04/12 inside Moreland Court.Secuirty measures are now being put into the complex. If anyone has any information about any of the fires please contact us on 101.
INTELLIGENCE
We would encourage members of our community to contact us if they see any drug dealing-taking place on the area. The Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to act on information received and have conducted drugs warrants in Carlton with positive results through good intelligence that has been received through Crime stoppers.

Please make sure that your sheds are secure with padlocks and lighting and nothing of any value is kept in them. Please keep your front doors locked at all times even when you’re in.
