NEIGHBOURHOOD PRIORITY UPDATE (08/05/2012)
A Neighbourhood Priority setting meeting was held on Monday 16th April 2012 and as a result of the surveys completed by the members of public of Carlton Hill, the following priorities have been set.
ASB- In the area of Standhill Park and also Foxhill Road
Vehicle Nuisance- Mainly in the Foxhill Road area
Auto crime – In the Standhill Road area
There will be increased patrols in the area over the next few weeks targeting groups of youths causing ASB, dealing with them as appropriate.
These patrols will also be targeting nuisance vehicles in the area.
We are continuing to target drug offenders on Carlton Hill and expect to see us executing drug warrants in the area over the next few weeks.
With regards to the auto crime in the area, we are conducting high visibility and covert patrols. We will also continue to do leaflet drops in the area with regards to vehicle security and not leaving valuables in vehicles. If you don’t leave valuables in the vehicles they can’t be stolen.
I would encourage members of the public to ring into the Police station should they see anything untoward rather than leaving it. We can only deal with what has been reported.
ARRESTS/INCIDENTS OF INTEREST
There has been an increase of burglaries to community centres / churches/ and other community buildings over the last few weeks. Offenders are targeting these places overnight when the buildings are unoccupied.
On the night of 18/04/2012 offender forced entry into Foxhill Evangelical Church Foxhill Road Carlton and stole items from within. A male has been arrested and charged for this burglary and is currently awaiting trial
