Beat Update

NEIGHBOURHOOD PRIORITY UPDATE (08/05/2012)

A Neighbourhood Priority setting meeting was held on Monday 16th April 2012 and as a result of the surveys completed by the members of public of the Valley Ward following priorities have been set.
ASB and Vehicle Nuisance- in the Foxhill Road, Valley Road area and around the Richard Herod Bowls Centre

There will be increased patrols in the area over the next few weeks targeting groups of youths causing ASB, dealing with them as appropriate.
These patrols will also be targeting nuisance vehicles in the area.
We are continuing to target drug offenders on Valley and expect to see us executing drug warrants in the area over the next few weeks.
With regards to the auto crime in the area, we are conducting high visibility and covert patrols. We will also continue to do leaflet drops in the area with regards to vehicle security and not leaving valuables in vehicles. If you don’t leave valuables in the vehicles they can’t be stolen.

I would encourage members of the public to ring into the Police station should they see anything untoward rather than leaving it. We can only deal with what has been reported.

ARRESTS/INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

There has been an increase of burglaries to community centres / churches/ and other community buildings over the last few weeks. Offenders are targeting these places overnight when the buildings are unoccupied.

INTELLIGENCE

If any members of the community have any information regarding drug dealing or any other criminal activity please contact us via CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800555111 your call will be treated in the strictest confidence. If you see a crime in progress please ring 999.
The Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to act on information received and have conducted drugs warrants in Carlton with positive results through intelligence that has been received through Crime stoppers
