Completed Beat Priorities

  • Parking Issues outside East Bridgford Primary School   Show details
The problem was highlighted at local beat surgery by members of the public and parish council officials. Inconsiderate parking by parents dropping off children at the commencement of the school day and then again at the finish of school is causing obstructions and poor visibility.

    Our Response
Rushcliffe Borough Council Enforcement Officers and Notts County Council Highways have been informed. The Road has recently been resurfaced and marked and appears to have helped with the flow of traffic improving. There have been no further issues or concerns raised about this priority by either local residents, the school or parents.

  • Speeding motor vehicles.   Show details
Neighbourhood Policing Surveys were completed with a cross section of the local community between July and October 2009. On 29/10/2009 a Priority Setting Meeting was held and using the information available it was decided that Speeding motor vehicles in the rural villages throughout the wards of Oak, Cranmer and Thoroton would be a priority for local Policing for the next three months. This will be reassessed at a further meeting in January 2010.

    Our Response
The response to the priority highlighted is that officers using speed detection devices will attend the areas to monitor vehicles at appropriate times and where appropriate issue fixed penalty tickets. Liaison will also take place with the local community speed watch for the respective area.
