Officers have issued this CCTV image of a car they want to identify as part of an ongoing investigation into a car key burglary in Newark.

At about 4.15pm on Wednesday (10 October 2018) burglars broke into a house in Carnell Lane, Fernwood. Having found the keys to the victim’s grey Audi SQ7, registration number R777 PJD, they stole it.

This vehicle was seen by numerous witnesses in convoy with a blue 1 series BMW (as pictured).

Both cars then headed onto the A1 and drove northbound between Balderton and the Ollerton/South Muskham exit. They were described as driving at excessive speed and dangerously close to other vehicles.

Officers are appealing for any drivers who were on the A1 at the time and who may have dashcam footage of the cars to get in touch.
