Bingham town centre cordoned off following suspicious package report

Nottinghamshire Police have cordoned off part of Bingham town centre this evening, in response to a report of a suspicious package earlier today (Friday 12 October).

The cordon has been put in place as a precaution at the junction of Union Street and Market Street.

Residents and local businesses are being advised to expect disruption in the area, as officers continue their work at the scene. Anyone who can avoid the area is being advised to do so.
